How to move around in Toulouse during your stay ?

You have no more excuses!

Getting to Toulouse is very easy.

Toulouse airport is ranked the fifth largest in France, which is explained by the international development and low-cost airlines. And yes! The Ville Rose does not hesitate to expand its scope of activity to increase its growth.  With the arrival of the tram in front of the boarding gates and regular shuttles from the city centre, Toulouse airport has become very accessible.

The Matabiau train station is ideally located, accessible by metro, bus and also by foot near the most important monuments of Toulouse.

And what about public transport in the city centre?  It couldn’t be easier.

In other words, the Ville Rose is known for being a student city that offers very reasonable prices. Count only 1,70 € for a trip, if the ticket is bought in the automatic machines and 2 € for the trip, if it is bought directly on the bus, 6,10 € for the one-day pass and 12,20 € for 3 days, same price for the subway, the bus and the tram.  (Rates at January 2019)

If you like to walk, do not hesitate to visit the city centre and the historical monuments on foot, Toulouse is a small town and everything is close by. On the other hand, if you prefer to be guided, we advise you to visit the city in an original way and to do so, get on the City Tour Toulouse bus, which roof is open for sunny days and closed for the coldest days.

The City Tour Toulouse is a “Hop-on/Hop-off” minibus, the passengers have the possibility to get on and off the bus during the whole day during the summer period, the interest for you is to be able to visit a place and take the bus back one hour later at the same stop.
